Plant Type Protection |
 |

New breeds of plant types are protected by the plant type protection law.

The prerequisites for type protection are that the plant type is new, that it is distinguishable from plants of another plant type in at least one of its characteristics, that it is homogenous (when its plants, under consideration of the generative or vegetative reproduction, are sufficiently equal in specificity in their distinguishable nature), and is designated by a type designation suitable for registration.
